Job summary

Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital is actively seeking a Full Time Nights RN to provide professional nursing care in the Emergency Department and coordinate patient care across disciplines. The role emphasizes prioritizing based on physical and psychosocial needs and rapid response to changes in patient status.

The ideal candidate holds Florida RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS/PALS within 6 months of hire, with ED experience preferred. Bachelor’s in Nursing is desirable; CEN certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as RN in Florida.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS & PALS from the American Heart Association within 6 months of hire, maintain current thereafter.
• At least 1 year of experience in hospital clinical setting; emergency department experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• Professional certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN), preferred.

Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs of patients, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with ED physicians regarding changes in patient's status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Professional Requirements

• Complete annual education requirements.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Wear BCMS issued identification badge while on duty.
• Maintain regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and local regulations.
• Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
• Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business practices.
