Elderwood is seeking an RN Educator to lead orientation, education, and ongoing competency development for our nursing and clinical teams - ensuring excellence, compliance, and confidence at every level of care.
Design, implement, and evaluate orientation, compliance, and continuing education programs for facility staff
Serve as a clinical mentor and resource to new nurses, Nurse Preceptors, and leadership teams
Lead and coordinate General Orientation, department-based onboarding, and licensed nurse orientation programs
Ensure staff remain current with evolving clinical standards, policies, and best practices
Foster a culture of learning, accountability, and clinical excellence
This role also serves as the primary Instructor for the Nursing Assistant Training Program (NATP)
Act as a clinical “super user” for the EMR and serve as a go‑to resource for staff
Schedule, teach, and lead BLS and IV certification programs
Perform staff vaccinations, health screenings, and assigned medical testing
Collaborate with Unit Managers, Nurse Consultants, and Preceptors to support annual clinical competency testing
Coordinate and deliver mandatory corporate in‑service education
Track, document, and report education compliance using the Learning Management System (LMS)
Plan and deliver CNA and Support Aide orientation programs
Ensure Nursing Assistants complete required in‑service education hours
Prepare monthly education calendars and reports
Coordinate emergency preparedness drills (fire, disaster, Code Blue) and maintain documentation
Lead and participate in facility staff meetings and in‑service education sessions
