AdventHealth in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time night shift. The position requires RN licensure and BLS/CPR certification with at least one year in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, creating care plans, administering medications, and educating patients and families. Collaboration with the care team is essential to deliver holistic care.

Qualifications

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; monitor and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and protocols; monitor adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.

Job Description:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills

• Ability to work as a Team player within a unit
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills
