HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across the ED team. You will collaborate with physicians and staff to coordinate comprehensive care using established nursing models and patient advocacy to optimize outcomes and satisfaction.
You will assess pain, perform procedures, document care in the EHR, and educate patients and families about their conditions, medications, and follow-up plans.
As a RN ED Emergency, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn –whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
