Job summary

CHI is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) at St. Luke’s Health – The Woodlands Hospital in Texas. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, compassionate care, effectively assessing and implementing patient care plans while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, one year of RN experience, and must obtain CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Qualifications

Job Summary

As an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well‑being and recovery. Responsibilities
  • Assessment: Admit and routinely assess patients’ conditions; provide nursing care that meets physical, psychological, and spiritual needs; notify the clinician of changes requiring attention.
  • Planning: Design, direct, evaluate, and document the plan of care, including patient/family teaching and transition of care, to ensure a safe and appropriate level of discharge; collaborate with other clinicians; formulate daily goals that consider individualized needs.
  • Implementation: Prepare patients mentally, physically, and spiritually for treatments, surgeries, and diagnostic studies to reduce anxiety; keep informed of patient conditions; report significant changes to the Charge Nurse/Team Leader or physician; implement patient‑safety initiatives and protocols including medication safety practices, physician orders, and consult notifications.
  • Evaluation: Reassess patients at appropriate intervals following interventions; notify the clinician as necessary to modify interventions; adjust nursing care to meet emerging and changing needs.
  • Report Skills: Give and receive reports using the Bedside Shift Report, including family participation; provide a comprehensive, accurate report to the oncoming shift to support continuity of care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • One (1) year of RN experience
  • Registered Nurse status in Texas, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support – CPR within 14 days
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months

Pay Range

$35.45 – $55.36 per hour
