Southeast Behavioral Hospital is excited to begin offering a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to the people of Southeast Missouri. Our facility provides a wide range of mental, emotional and behavioral health services for children, teens, adults and seniors experiencing mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and co‑occurring substance use issues. Located on the banks of the Mississippi River, the Cape Girardeau region boasts a vibrant commerce and abundant agricultural heritage, providing a labor force encompassing a 40‑mile radius.
The RN is a registered professional nurse who coordinates and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. This position focuses on patient admissions from the intake department to the floor and discharge planning for both the adolescent and adult units of the inpatient facility.
Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health‑care facility preferred.
Licensure: Current license to practice by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
Additional Requirements: CPR certification and training in appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint within 30 days of employment; completion of Handle with Care training and Service Excellence Training within 90 days of employment.
