Carle Health is seeking an Ambulatory Nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care across the patient and family continuum within the RN scope of practice in Illinois. The role emphasizes assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to improve outcomes.

Key duties include providing health education, performing tests such as Fibroscan and breath tests, administering vaccines, coordinating care, and supporting staff development as a preceptor.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Illinois (RN).
• Associate’s Degree required.

Overview

The Ambulatory Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the practice of nursing. Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing.

Qualifications

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Education: Associate‘s Degree
• Work Experience:

• Assists Nursing Supervisor/coordinator in the development of departmental policies and procedures.

• Performs testing such as Fibroscan, breath tests and video capsule endoscopy
• Administers vaccines and other injections
• Provides telephone triage and related follow up
• Completes prior authorization process

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $33.11per hour - $53.88per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
