Responsibilities

• Assess the patient and develop, implement and evaluate a plan of care.
• Administer, monitor and document therapeutic interventions.
• Participate in clinical decision-making with the care team.
• Educate patient and family about disease process, needs and safety.
• Delegate and monitor care by the nursing team.
• Participate in orientation and development of staff.
• Contribute to performance improvement activities.
• Maintain competency at professional and departmental levels.
