Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, SC is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our patient care team on a full-time day shift. You will utilize the nursing process to promote health, collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff, and provide compassionate care to patients and families while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications

• ADN, Diploma or BSN required.
• New graduate RN’s who obtain their generic RN education through an online program will not meet LMC minimum qualifications.
• Current RN license to practice in the State of South Carolina.
• Refer to Mandatory Certification Requirements for education/certification for various nursing specialties.
• Required Training: None

Responsibilities

• Establishes positive rapport with patient and family.
• Provides emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
• Educates patient and family about condition, medications, and self-care in understandable terms.
• Serves as patient/family advocate.
• Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Uses a systematic critical-thinking approach to guide data gathering, assessment, nursing judgement, intervention and evaluation.
