Job summary

Kootenai Health in Coeur d'Alene, ID is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to evaluate, plan, implement and document patient care. The role involves assisting physicians during procedures and serving as scrub and circulating nurse, with a high level of autonomy and accuracy.

Requirements include a BSN, licensed RN with three years of patient-facing experience, and eligibility for Idaho licensure; CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

  • BSN required.
  • Graduate of a nationally accredited Nursing program required.
  • Licensed RN with a minimum 3 years’ patient-facing RN experience at time of hire; ADN or diploma required; BSN or higher preferred.
  • All non-BSN RN's with less than 3 years’ patient-facing RN experience at time of hire must enroll in a BSN or higher degree program within 1 year and complete within 3 years.
  • State of Idaho RN licensure or temporary licensure documentation; multistate privilege to practice may apply.
  • CNOR certification preferred.
  • BLS required; ACLS required.

  • Schedule/Shift/Hours Full Time - Days - 10 Hour Shifts
Position Summary

  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field

  • Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
  • BSN required
  • Graduate of a nationally accredited Nursing program required
  • Licensed RN with a minimum 3 years’ patient-facing RN experience at time of hire, ADN or diploma required; BSN or higher preferred
  • All non-BSN RN's with less than 3 years’ patient-facing RN experience at time of hire are required to be enrolled in a baccalaureate (or higher) degree program in nursing within 1 year of employment, with completion within 3 years of hire
  • State of Idaho Registered Nurse OR licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the "multistate privilege to practice" compact with Idaho prior to start date
  • CNOR certification preferred
  • BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH BLS during General Orientation
  • ACLS Required
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs
  • Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
  • Typical equipment used in a clinical job
  • Must be able to stoop, crouch, or bend
  • Must be able to pull, push, or transport heavy equipment
  • Must be able to assist in patient transport
