Job summary

AdventHealth in Tavress, Florida is hiring a registered nurse to assess patients, plan and implement individualized care, and coordinate with the care team. You will administer medications, educate families, and contribute to safe patient outcomes in a hospital setting.

The position emphasizes teamwork, accurate documentation, and adherence to clinical guidelines, with strong opportunities for professional growth and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license in Florida or multi-state license
• BLS certification required or within required timeframe
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Fluent in English; able to document clearly in charts
• Ability to interpret basic diagnostic data and vital signs

Responsibilities

• Assess physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors of patients
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on patient needs
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments and self-care
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure cohesive patient care and safe transitions

Job Description

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.


• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.


• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.


• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.


• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes

Education
