Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an experienced RN for CVICU in Reston, VA. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in critical care and ACLS certification, with some direct cardiac surgery patient care experience.

Shift is 07:00–19:00, 36 hours per week, for a 13-week assignment. The unit features 4 beds with 1:1 immediate post‑op care and a rollout of a new cardiac surgery program; Meditech Expanse is used for documentation, and navy uniforms are required.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification required.

Description:This position is for a registered nurse in a cardiovascular intensive care unit.The unit features 4 beds with a patient ratio of 1:1 for immediate post-surgical care and 1:2 for post-operative day one to three.Staffing includes primary nursing, with unit secretaries and tech availability.The documentation system used is Meditech Expanse.Scheduling requires 36 hours per week, including three weekend shifts every four weeks.The floating policy allows for the same patient ratio as the unit to which the nurse is floated.The focus is on delivering high-quality patient experiences in a demanding critical care environment.A new cardiac surgery program is being launched on the unit.Candidates should adhere to dress code guidelines, which require navy blue uniforms.This role provides an opportunity to work with new equipment and technology in a dynamic team environment.
