Registered Nurse (RN) – CT / Imaging Services** Supporting Exceptional Patient Care Through Expert Clinical Assessment, Procedural Support & Compassionate Care **What We're Looking For
- Current Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience preferred
- ACLS certification required within one year of hire
- PALS certification preferred
- CGRN certification and SGNA membership encouraged/preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
- Experience with procedural sedation, patient monitoring, and recovery preferred
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

**What You Will Do:** As an RN within CT and Imaging Services, you will coordinate and provide individualized nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures.
Patient Assessment & Care Planning
- Perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments
- Prioritize patient needs and identify nursing diagnoses
- Develop individualized plans of care
- Establish expected outcomes and update care plans
- Document assessments and care plans accurately
Direct Patient Care & Clinical Intervention
- Deliver direct patient care using nursing practice standards
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely
- Coordinate care with physicians, technologists, and support services
- Monitor patient responses and intervene appropriately
- Maintain patient rights, dignity, and privacy
Procedural Nursing & Sedation Management
- Perform pre-procedure assessments and patient preparation
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
- Administer and monitor procedural sedation
- Assist with procedures, medications, contrast administration, and equipment setup
- Conduct post-procedure recovery monitoring and discharge instruction
Patient & Family Education
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures and recovery
- Provide individualized discharge teaching
- Reduce anxiety through compassionate communication
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and healthcare team members
- Participate in care planning and discharge planning
- Delegate care appropriately while maintaining accountability
- Communicate patient status effectively
Documentation & Quality Improvement
- Document assessments, treatments, medications, and outcomes accurately
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness and revise plans as needed
Other Duties
- Maintain required certifications and competencies
- Participate in departmental training
- Perform all other duties as assigned
