Essentia Health is seeking a registered nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in cardiac, surgical, and medical units. The role involves delivering holistic patient care, exercising professional autonomy, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess needs and coordinate plans.
Responsibilities include implementing and evaluating care plans, ensuring quality outcomes, and contributing to the mission of the facility while meeting Joint Commission standards where applicable.
Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.
BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing

What You'll Do in This Role:
This position will work the following:
Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within1 month from date of hire
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year
Must Meet the Following Qualifications:
Currently employed RN with minimum 6 months acute care cardiac experience in a RN position, or 9 months med/surg RN experience with completion of a capstone or internship in SMMC Critical care department.
