Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston, is seeking an RN to coordinate ASC Endoscopy operations in PACU/PreOp areas. You will ensure policy compliance, proper equipment use and accurate documentation while supporting quality improvement and safety programs.

The role requires ASN or higher, Texas RN license, BLS/ACLS, PALS within 90 days, and 3+ years in PACU/Endoscopy. BSN preferred; driving license and reliable transportation are needed.

Qualifications

• PALS within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 3 years RN experience in PACU, PreOp, Endoscopy.
• Experience in pre-operative patient assessment and preparation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily clinical operations of the ASC Endoscopy area (PACU/Preoperative) per policy and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with Managers/Director on staffing, policies, education, quality improvement, infection control and safety plans.
• Ensure proper use of equipment, supplies and accurate medical record documentation.

Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily clinical operations of the ASC Endoscopy area assigned either post anesthesia care unit (PACU) and preoperative area in accordance with established Federal, State, and JCAHO regulations and Center policies and procedures
• Coordinates with Managers and Director actions related to the clinical and nursing activities such as staffing, Policy and Procedure, educational activities in the preoperative / PACU area, promoting Quality Improvement Program, Infection Control and Safety plans
• Coordinates proper use of equipment, supplies and controlled drugs, and accurate medical record documentation

Required Qualifications:

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or higher
• Texas RN license
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) obtain within 90 days
• 3 Years RN experience in PACU, PreOp, Endoscopy
• Experience in pre-operative patient assessment and preparation required
• Driver's license and access to reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• 3 Years of Endoscopy experience
• RN experience in Pre-Op, Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)

The hourly pay for this role will range from $35 - $63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
