Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a capable registered nurse to provide direct patient care across a range of complex cases. The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate documentation, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Mentorship and professional development are encouraged, with emphasis on the NGHS shared governance model. The successful candidate will have Georgia RN licensure, an associates degree, and at least one year of nursing experience; preferred certifications

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia (state licensure)
• Associates Degree required; bachelors preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a professional setting
• Preferred: national certification in clinical specialty
• Preferred: Bachelor of Nursing Degree
• Preferred experience in Long Term Care (1 year)
• Membership in a professional organization is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, safe patient care using the nursing process
• Document all aspects of nursing care in the electronic medical record
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team and discharge planning
• Deliver patient and family education and support during care transitions
• Participate in unit governance, quality improvement, and safety initiatives
• Identify and escalate deteriorations in patient condition promptly
