Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Mansfield, TX is seeking a Clinical Team Leader to serve as charge nurse, delivering direct patient care in a safe, therapeutic environment while guiding a frontline nursing team.

This role requires a BSN, Texas RN license (or compact), and completion of charge nurse training within 90 days. BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications are expected, with advanced certifications pursued within 2 years.

• Charge nurse training/competencies must be completed within 90 days if external hire.
• Advanced certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP as per RN area; CCRN/CEN/RNC within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provides frontline leadership and decision-making for departmental staff, ensuring quality and integrity of care.
• Develops staffing plan based on patient acuity and oversees day-to-day operations on the designated shift.
• Monitors workflow and adjusts staffing to support unit fiscal goals.
• Coordinates and facilitates efficient patient flow for admissions and discharges.
• Assists the manager in achieving department objectives including patient experience, length of stay, and quality measures.
• Participates in process improvement initiatives and peer interviews as requested.
• Assists with occurrence investigations and other duties as assigned.
