Hospice of North Alabama in Decatur, AL is seeking a skilled RN Clinical Supervisor to oversee hospice staff, coordinate services, and guide clinical decisions in end‑of‑life care. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and leader, with nursing licensure in Alabama and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current licensure in the state of operation.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification as per policy.
• Ability to drive with insured vehicle.
• Excellent observation, nursing judgment, and communication skills (verbal/written).
• Understanding hospice philosophy and end‑of‑life care considerations.
• Knowledge of pain and symptom management principles.

Responsibilities

• Review new patient referrals and determine care needs; assign staff.
• Guide clinical staff through home visits, case reviews, and real‑time consultations.
• Develop patient care plans and set treatment goals.
• Lead team case conferences for coordinated care.
• Conduct chart audits and provide quality improvement feedback.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of clinical staff.
• Support staff development and continuing education programs.
• Assist in policy development and uphold professional care standards.
• Engage in community outreach and promote hospice services.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current, unencumbered licensure to practice professional nursing in the state of operation.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in hospice or home care setting required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification, maintained in accordance with organizational policy.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured per state and/or organizational requirements and is in good working order.
• Proven ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team setting.
• Demonstrates excellent observation, nursing judgment, and communication skills—both verbal and written.
• Understands the hospice philosophy and the emotional, clinical, and ethical considerations surrounding end‑of‑life care.
• Knowledge of pain and symptom management principles.
• Adheres to accepted professional standards and practices.
• Commitment to clinical excellence and thorough documentation.
