Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as Clinical Supervisor for the Weekend shift. You will lead a unit to deliver safe, high-quality patient care while ensuring staffing adequacy and efficient patient flow.

You will collaborate with the Staffing Office and the Clinical Manager to promote change, mentor co-workers, uphold Mercy standards, and participate in ongoing evaluation and process improvement across the continuum.

Qualifications

• Education path must include one of ADN, Nursing Diploma, or BSN.
• Missouri RN license or compact licensure required in accordance with state nursing regulations.
• 3–5 years of hospital nursing experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• Coordinate patient flow and bed management in collaboration with Staffing Office.

The Clinical Supervisor assures delivery of safe, high-quality and cost-effective care provided by competent co-workers. They ensure efficient utilization of available resources to meet productivity and financial goals. Clinical Supervisor ensures units are appropriately staffed to provide patient care. Clinical Supervisor is proactively involved in patient flow and bed management issues in collaboration with the Staffing Office. Clinical Supervisor is involved in the evaluation process in collaboration with the Clinical Manager as directed.

Position Details:

Registered Nurse (RN) - Clinical Supervisor-RN-Weekend

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule:Full-Time | 40 hours/week

Shift:Day Shift

Qualifications

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:3-5 years of hospital nursing experience

Certifications:

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education:BSN preferred
• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience:Prior management experience - experience within change management

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs. regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
