Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Health Management preferred.
• Three (3) years of acute care clinical experience with recent and progressively more responsible leadership and management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides systematic, expert problem solving and complex decision-making and facilitation to coordinate hospital and community resources in regard to specific patient issues.
• Responsible for assuring most appropriate use of hospital and agency personnel for house-wide staffing and overseeing the staffing/census ratio in a timely manner.
• Reviews and authorizes timecards.
• Participates in hospital-wide quality improvement process.
• Facilitates and supports implementation of standards of patient care practice and policies and procedures that guide the scope and conduct of patient care provided by the patient care area staff.
• Coaches and mentors patient care area staff as necessary.
• Maintains clinical competence and knowledge of current trends in patient care.
