Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Clinical Manager for our Patient Care operations. You will oversee agency daily functions, including scheduling, staffing, intake, physician communication, billing, and compliance, to ensure clinical excellence and operational efficiency.

The role requires an RN license in CT with relevant home health experience, strong knowledge of home care regulations, and leadership capabilities to manage care plans and staff. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• RN license in CT and nursing degree (or diploma) with required clinical experience.
• Solid understanding of home care regulations and reimbursement mechanisms.
• CT-specific requirements: 2–3 years home health experience for various degree paths.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient eligibility and reimbursement criteria with Agency Director.
• Schedule and document initial assessments promptly.
• Coordinate with Case Coordinators to ensure staffing and coverage.
• Monitor patient utilization for compliance with orders and policies.
• Assist with scheduling for Case Managers, nurses, and PRN staff; ensure documentation submission.
• Approve and update plans of care, including verbal orders, meds and treatments.
• Ensure timely recertifications and compliance with policies.
• Conduct routine supervisory field visits as required by state regulations.
• Support training and orientation of new nurses and staff.
