The ideal candidate has significant RN inpatient experience and current Illinois licensure, with required certifications pursued within set timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years RN inpatient experience.
• Illinois RN license required.
• SCRN within 1 year; CMSRN within 1 year; ACLS within 1 year; BLS within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate unit educational presentations and patient education on joint replacement.
• Provide opportunities for less experienced staff to grow unit-specific skills.
• Utilize information technology to obtain evidence-based practices and the latest research for care providers on the unit.
• Ensure unit policy/procedure/standards reflect EBP and are practiced consistently.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor staff competencies with annual records.
• Provide ROC to non-compliant staff and report to manager promptly.
• Perform unusual occurrence investigations and follow-up (Stars System).
