CommonSpirit Health seeks an RN Clinical Coordinator at Holy Cross Hospital – West Valley to coordinate clinical activities, serve as a clinical resource, and model professional standards. You will supervise shift operations, allocate duties, and ensure high-quality care while collaborating with physicians and the patient care team.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of employment.
• At least 1 year of clinical RN experience.
• Associates Degree in Nursing or endorsement; BSN preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assess patient physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs and intervene for optimal outcomes.
• Develop and monitor patient care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide leadership and coordinate unit operations during designated shift.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our RN Clinical Coordinator, you will actively support the department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit, serving as a vital clinical resource and professional role model.

Every day you will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, ensure high-quality care delivery, act as a crucial link between physicians and the patient care team, authorize work procedures, assign duties, manage as shift charge, and actively take patient assignments based on unit needs and acuity, all while promoting patient well-being and adhering to professional standards.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Registered Nurse with exceptional clinical skills, strong leadership potential, superior communication and collaboration abilities, and an unwavering commitment to ethical practice, quality patient care, and a supportive team environment.

• Assesses patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data. Evaluates patient’s response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.


• Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.


• Provides leadership, support, and coordination of unit’s daily operations during designated shift.


• Assists in directing, organizing, and prioritizing all shift activities ensuring patient care and staff needs are met.


• Ensures appropriateness of admissions/cases to the unit/department and that appropriate staff skill mix exists to provide safe patient care.


• Liaison to the multidisciplinary patient care team.

Job Requirements

Required

• Associates Degree in Nursing or by endorsement


• One (1) year of clinical RN experience.


• RN license to practice in state of employment as applicable.

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Where You'll Work

At Holy Cross Hospital – West Valley, being a Level III Trauma center in northwestern Salt Lake Valley allows the Perioperative Department to see a wide range of patient needs and acuity levels. The surgical unit has 5 operating rooms including a Trauma room, Orthopedic room, and a Cystoscopy room. We have high powered holmium laser that is used in urology for the HoLEP (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) procedure, as well as the CORI Robotic system allowing us to provide robotically assisted total joint replacement surgery. Currently we provide 10 different specialties including trauma, ortho, general, bariatric, ENT, plastics, urology, GYN, interventional pain, and more.

Our skilled team is cross trained for all specialties allowing for an increased knowledge base of surgical procedures and the ability to cover any patient care needs. We strive to provide safe, quality patient care and exceptional customer service to our providers. The surgical department is fully invested in the team approach to patient care.
