AdventHealth in Denver, Colorado, is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead and coordinate unit operations during the designated shift, ensuring safe patient care and efficient staff performance.
You will participate in staff interviews, provide feedback, monitor documentation, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to maintain patient experience and regulatory compliance. RN license and BLS required; 1+ year of clinical RN experience preferred.

Provides leadership, support, and coordination of unit’s daily operations during designated shift. Assists in directing, organizing, and prioritizing all shift activities to ensure patient care and staff needs are met. Ensures appropriateness of admissions/cases to the unit/department and that appropriate staff skill mix exists to provide safe patient care. Participates in the interviewing and selection process for new staff. Provide feedback and recommendations regarding current staff performance. Conducts audits as needed regarding documentation, patient charges, and outcomes. Resolves patient complaints and other issues that could negatively impact patient care. Acts as a liaison to the multidisciplinary patient care team. Monitors supply usage and costs at the unit level to ensure fiscal accountability. Assists management with maintaining staff and department compliance with all regulatory and accreditation agencies. Delegates tasks to RN and non-RN personnel in accordance with State Board of Nursing and hospital policy. Serves as a professional role model for all staff, demonstrating ethical, legal, and professional nursing practices. Seeks out learning opportunities for continuing education and experiences that will maintain skills and competence in clinical practice or role performance. Other duties as assigned.
