Job summary

St. Francis Hospital Interquest in Colorado Springs seeks an RN Clinical Coordinator for the ICU. You will support the unit leadership, coordinate clinical activities, and serve as a critical resource and role model for the nursing staff.

You will lead day-to-day operations, ensure high quality patient care, and maintain effective communication with physicians and the care team. A strong clinical background, leadership potential, and commitment to ethical practice are essential.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of employment
• BLS from the American Heart Association
• ACLS from the American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• ENPC or PALS
• One year RN ICU experience
• TNCC or TCAR within one year of hire
• Physical requirements: medium work exert/lift up to 50 lbs., etc.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical and department activities for the ICU unit
• Act as clinical resource and role model
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and high-quality care
• Link physicians and patient care team; authorize procedures and assign duties
• Manage shift as charge nurse and take patient assignments as needed
• Ensure safe admissions and appropriate staff mix; liaise with multidisciplinary team

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our RN Clinical Coordinator in our ICU, you will actively support the department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit, serving as a vital clinical resource and professional role model.

Every day you will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, ensure high-quality care delivery, act as a crucial link between physicians and the patient care team, authorize work procedures, assign duties, manage as shift charge, and actively take patient assignments based on unit needs and acuity, all while promoting patient well-being and adhering to professional standards.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Registered Nurse with exceptional clinical skills, strong leadership potential, superior communication and collaboration abilities, and an unwavering commitment to ethical practice, quality patient care, and a supportive team environment.

• Assesses patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data.
• Evaluates patient’s response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.
• Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provides leadership, support, and coordination of unit’s daily operations during designated shift.
• Assists in directing, organizing, and prioritizing all shift activities ensuring patient care and staff needs are met.
• Ensures appropriateness of admissions/cases to the unit/department and that appropriate staff skill mix exists to provide safe patient care.Liaison to the multidisciplinary patient care team.

We are offering a $20,000 sign on in addition to up to $8,000 relocation assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

.90 FTE-FT nights-7pm-7:30am

Required

Pay Range

$41.74 - $66.25 /hour
