Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking an experienced registered nurse to support hematology clinics. The role includes direct patient care, triage, education, and coordination of laboratory and outpatient testing, with Epic/EHR duties.

The position operates in a weekday, daytime schedule with a potential hybrid work model after orientation, and requires MO/IL RN licensure and BLS. Collaborative care with a multidisciplinary team is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with two years of nursing experience.
• Current RN licensure in Missouri and/or Illinois per location and compact act.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained within one month of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation; convey findings to physician.
• Coordinate patient care and tests, attend rounds, assist with referrals to outside sources.
• Assist physicians and provide support with examinations and procedures.
• Perform nursing administrative duties including infection control and quality assurance.
• Act as liaison and team leader to coordinate care with patients, families and health team members.
