Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the 5S ICU – Days. The role requires a BSN, CA RN license, and specialized certifications such as BLS and ACLS. This full-time, 12-hour day shift position is unionized and located in Los Angeles.

The RN will work within an interdisciplinary team, utilizing the nursing process to deliver therapeutic care, coordinate patient care, and educate patients and families in a compassionate setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• At least 1 year of acute inpatient RN experience in the United States.
• Current RN license from CA Board of Registered Nursing.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required (American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification required; Fire Life Safety Training required for LA City if not held on hire.
• Preferred specialty certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic nursing care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care and education for patients and families in a compassionate, supportive environment.

Job Description

As an integral part of the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to provide therapeutic care to patients. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the coordination of patient care and education to the patient and family in accordance with the standards, policies, and practices in a compassionate, supportive, and therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• Req Bachelor’s Degree Nursing Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Req 1 year Acute inpatient hospital experience as RN in the United States
• Req Registered Nurse - RN (CA Board of Registered Nursing)
• Req Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association
• Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
• Req Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association
• Pref Specialty Certification
