Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a supervisory RN to oversee multiple clinics and coordinate patient care using the nursing process within applicable regulations. This role directs licensed and ancillary staff and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver an effective plan of care.

Required is a graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure; 5 years related experience including 1 year in supervision, CPR; a BSN is preferred and ACLS/PALS certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• RN license in state of practice; CPR certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• 5 years of related experience including 1 year supervisory or leadership experience.
• Certification in clinical area, ACLS, PALS preferred.

• Ensures effective and safe delivery of patient care.
• Maintains effective communication and leadership while supervising, training and developing staff.
• Adapts to change in a positive constructive manner.
• Assumes responsibility for professional development and maintaining required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training and credentials.

• Maintains required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training and credentials of nursing staff.

• Performs other related duties as required.
