Job summary

Scripps Health in San Diego is seeking a nurse leader to manage operations in the cancer treatment rooms and oversee RN Navigators, staffing, and staff development. You will ensure high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient clinic workflows.

The role requires a California RN license, several years of leadership experience, and strong communication skills. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits at the Torrey Pines and broader Scripps Cancer Clinic sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus five years applicable clinical experience, two of which in a leadership role.
• Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
• Graduate of an accredited program.
• Applicable experience in a healthcare environment and three years of leadership experience.
• Ability to effectively manage healthcare business and operational practices.
• Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applicable systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage RN Specialty Nurse Navigators who support our patients throughout the continuum of care.
• Conduct performance evaluations and manage staffing schedules.
• Develop staff training and professional development plans.
• Be responsible for the daily operations of the patient care units or departments in an efficient and cost-effective manner, Ensure appropriate equipment and resources are available to staff to do their job.
• Develop and implement workflows that improve patient access, standard work and satisfaction.
• Monitor clinic productivity, patient volumes and operational performance metrics.
• Contribute to strategic planning of business units.
• Coordinate the ongoing development and productivity of the physician office practices.
