Job summary

Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, AL seeks an RN to join the clinic team, delivering continuity of patient care, assessment, and interventions with teaching and counseling for patients and families.

You will serve as a lead clinician when assisting providers and act as a dedicated telephone assistant to help streamline care in a fast-paced setting, aligned with hospital standards and mission.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama RN license or a current RN multi-state license is required.
• Minimum of one year clinic experience in direct patient care setting.
• Venipuncture and skilled injection required; must communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with computer terminals, fax and copy machines.

Overview

Acts as collaborative member of the clinic team in providing continuity of and quality patient care. Assesses and provides appropriate intervention for the problems that patients and families experience related to their health care and treatment to include teaching, counseling and supporting as needed to assist provider, patient and family. Also acts as lead clinician in assistance to provider and/or as dedicated telephone assistant.

Qualifications

Education:
Current Alabama RN license or a current RN multi-state license
Experience

Venipuncture and skilled injection required. Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be able to use computer terminal, fax machine and copy machine.
