Broadlawns Medical Center is seeking a Clinic Registered Nurse to provide leadership and general nursing care in a busy clinic. The RN will collaborate with physicians and a multi-disciplinary team to uphold professional nursing standards and coordinate comprehensive patient care across all ages and backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Current RN license recognized by the Iowa Board of Nursing.

Job description

Clinic Registered Nurse

Reports to the Clinics Administrator and Clinic Supervisor. The RN provides general nursing care and leadership, working collaboratively with physicians and multi‑disciplinary team members to maintain professional nursing standards in a clinic setting. The RN promotes and restores patients’ health by prescribing, providing, delegating, evaluating, and coordinating comprehensive professional nursing care through the nursing process for patients of all ages, genders, cultures, and backgrounds. The RN also provides physical and psycho‑social support to patients, friends, and families.

Performance Standards

• Demonstrates and supports service excellence according to BMC Employees Expectation of excellence 100% of the time.
• Consistently meets Clinic Nurse Manager/Supervisor requests, committee responsibilities, and performance improvement data collection as outlined by supervisor 95% of the time.
• Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence by completing and documenting all competencies, clinic‑specific skills, HealthStream, annual in‑services, and corporate compliance 95% of the defined time.
• Consistently meets Personal Performance Summary Standards.
• Attends unit/staff meetings 75% of the time.

• Demonstrates competence in specific computer applications.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current RN license recognized by the State of Iowa Board of Nursing.
• Knowledge of nursing care in accordance with regulations and practices established by the Iowa Board of Nursing.
• Successful demonstration of competence in Basic Life Support (Health Care Provider).
• Successful completion of Clinical Services general nursing and unit‑specific orientation.
• Consistently demonstrates a team approach to care.
• Demonstrates effective communication strategies.
• Familiarity with the use of a computer.
