Join SSM Health as a Registered Nurse (RN) for clinic float coverage in the metro Madison region. This role supports medical and surgical specialties across East, West, South Madison Campus, Oregon, Waunakee, and Sun Prairie clinics.

Job Summary

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans; monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate
• Serves as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders
• Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning with team members
• Mays round with physicians in an inpatient setting
• Applies evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge, ensuring care is based on patient’s age‑specific needs and clinical needs as described in the department’s scope of service
• Demonstrates professional nursing standards defined in the professional practice model, using the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide responses to current and evolving health and nursing needs
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing

Required Professional License And/Or Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) – Missouri Division of Professional Registration (or issued by Compact State)
• Registered Nurse (RN) – Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN) (or issued by Compact State)
• Registered Nurse (RN) – Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (or issued by Compact State)
