Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks a Clinic RN to provide nursing care in a 13-week assignment at a California clinic. Responsibilities include verifying vital signs, point-of-care testing, medication administration, wound care, and supporting transitions between care settings.

Under supervision of the Clinic Supervisor and PCP, the RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary team, manage multiple patients, and deliver education to participants and families.

Shift: M-F

Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Experience: Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population.

License: Unencumbered RN License

Certifications: BLS

Description:Under the direction of the Primary Care Provider and the supervision of the Clinic Supervisor, the Clinic Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care to participants in the clinic.This includes support with clinic overflow, checking vital signs, performing point-of-care testing, and managing and administering medications.The Clinic Nurse will support with wound care and any other clinical needs in accordance with the scope of practice.The role involves collaborating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to promote team culture and mission.

Responsibilities include performing and documenting ordered procedures and care in the clinic, including medication management and administration as directed by the Primary Care Provider.Staying alert to pertinent input from team members, participants, and caregivers is essential, prompting timely updates to the RN Case Manager and other clinic staff about any changes in participants' conditions.Supporting clinic staff ensures smooth care transitions between different settings such as hospitals and skilled nursing facilities.

The Clinic Nurse will dispense medications to participants while in the clinic and reinforce education regarding medications.Teaching participants and their families about disease processes, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies is also part of the role.Providing support to Medical Assistants performing procedures and processing specialty pharmacy medication orders will be required.

Monitoring and maintaining clinical trackers, managing the Emergency Cart monthly log, and ensuring the stock of medications is required.The Clinic Nurse may need to provide backup coverage to other nursing functions as assigned and coordinate with providers on medication order changes stemming from same-day procedures.Maintaining a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care is critical.
