Job summary

Cayuga Health in Ithaca, NY, is seeking a Chess Registered Nurse to provide nursing care across diverse units within the Cayuga Health System. The Chess RN will be part of a nursing team delivering direct care on assigned units and may transfer between units to meet census and acuity needs.

The role requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing and a valid NYS RN license, with BLS/ACLS/PALS potentially obtained during orientation.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Nursing.
Valid NYS RN License.
BLS, ACLS and/or PALS (can be obtained during orientation).

Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing plan considering the patient and family's individual, cultural, ethnic, and religious values and beliefs.
Provide patient education for diagnostic procedures, medical conditions and treatment plans.
Provide nursing care utilizing defined competencies and skills to areas assigned.
Demonstrates an aptitude and willingness to learn new responsibilities.
Excellent organization, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently, make decisions, meet deadlines, multi-task and solve problems.
Will be designated to train and work in various areas of facility providing safe & therapeutic patient care.
