Job summary

The Staff Pad in partnership with a respected healthcare organization in Russellville, AL, seeks a dependable RN Charge Nurse to provide leadership during shifts, coordinate the team, support staffing needs, and ensure policy adherence. You will collaborate with leadership to ensure high-quality patient care.

You will supervise nursing staff, perform triage, manage nutrition, keep accurate records, respond to emergencies, and work with Directors and Unit Managers to develop care plans.

Qualifications

• Active Alabama RN license; BSN preferred.
• ACLS and PALS certifications within 12 months of start date.
• Proven charge nurse or leadership experience in healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of triage protocols and urgent care procedures.
• Experience with case management and outpatient services is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities.
• Conduct triage assessments to prioritize patient needs effectively.
• Administer tube feeding and manage patient nutrition needs.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients.
• Provide urgent care services and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Collaborate with Directors, Nurse Managers and Unit Managers on case plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health management.

The Staff Pad has partnered with a respected healthcare organization in Russellville; AL and we are seeking a dependable and experienced RN Charge Nurse to provide leadership during assigned shifts, ensure effective team coordination, support staffing needs, implement hospital policies, and serve as a key resource for staff.

This role collaborates with leadership ((Directors, Nurse Mangers, Unit Managers) and internal departments to resolve operational issues and ensure high-quality patient care.

Schedule: Full-Time

• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities
• Conduct triage assessments to prioritize patient needs effectively
• Administer tube feeding and manage patients' nutritional needs as required
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients
• Provide urgent care services and respond to emergency situations promptly
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive case management plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health management strategies
• Facilitate patient care by resolving interdepartmental issues

Requirements

• Current Alabama RN license; BSN preferred
• Must complete Hospital-based ACLS and PALS within one year of employment
• Proven experience in a charge nurse or leadership role within a healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of triage protocols and urgent care procedures
• Experience with case management and outpatient services is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff
