Job summary

The Home Of The Innocents Inc in Louisville, KY is seeking an RN Charge Nurse to supervise licensed nurses and nursing assistants, ensuring safe, compassionate care aligned with clinical best practices.

You will coordinate daily nursing care, partner with cross-functional teams to plan resident care, maintain clear documentation, and lead the team in the absence of administration. This role emphasizes strong clinical judgment and compassionate leadership.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky RN license (unencumbered).
• CPR/BLS certification (required).
• Charge Nurse experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills with compassionate leadership.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing services and team members, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation and meet all regulatory standards.

A Day in the Life

Our Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center is a skilled nursing facility providing short-term, long-term, and respite care to pediatric residents and young adults with complex medical, developmental, and physical needs. These include congenital abnormalities, traumatic injuries, developmental disabilities, self-harming behaviors, seizures, and complex respiratory or cardiovascular conditions.

RN, Charge Nurses coordinate and oversee the daily care provided by licensed nurses and nursing assistants. In this role, you will ensure that care is safe, compassionate, and aligned with clinical best practices.

Shifts Available (Self-Scheduling Available):

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (30 or 36 hours/week)

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (30 or 36 hours/week)
