Job summary

Infirmary Health in Alabama is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide leadership within a healthcare team on a designated shift, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality patient care in the ED/ICU environment.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited RN program, active Alabama RN license (or multi-state license), BLS, and at least one year of ED or ICU experience. ACLS/PALS may be required in FED settings, with a BSN/MS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited RN program.
• At least one year ED/ICU experience; either as staff nurse or completion of an ED educational program for FED.
• BLS certification.
• Current Alabama RN License or Multi-State RN License under NLC.
• ACLS and PALS may be required for FED areas; ACLS/PALS certs after six months as appropriate.

Responsibilities

Provides leadership to a healthcare team to maintain efficiency and patient safety, and to deliver comprehensive, quality patient care on a designated shift.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of accredited RN program

Considerable professional knowledge, especially of assigned area

Provide evidence of at least one-year previous Emergency Department or ICU experience as a staff nurse or completion of an Emergency Department educational program is required to be assigned to Free-standing Emergency Departments (FED)

Licensure/Registration/Certification:

BLS

One of the following:

• Current Alabama RN License
• Current Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Lincensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*

*Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama

Code Team participation is assigned to MICU, NICU, SICU, PACU, ED, CCU, Peds/PICU, and L&D/Nursery departments. Participation is expected after six months of hire following success completion of ACLS, PALS or NRP course as appropriate

ACLS certification may be required in designated areas as determined by administration.

ACLS and PALS are required to be assigned/work Free-standing Emergency Departments (FED)

Desired Qualifications:

BSN/MS degree in Nursing
