Job summary

Huntsville Hospital Health System is seeking a professional RN to provide dedicated nursing care for cardiac patients in an office setting. The role requires NIL an Alabama RN license, CPR certification, and at least two years of cardiac nursing experience.

ACLS certification is preferred, with a focus on patient assessment, safe device management, and effective communication with patients' families and clinicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Possess a current Alabama State Registered Nurses License.
• Current CPR certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for office patients following established standards and procedures.
• Identify problems and recommend solutions.
• Write and maintain accurate records and reports.
• Maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, physicians, employees, and staff.
• Communicate clearly and calmly in emergencies.
• Educate patients about implanted devices and EP procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Possess a current Alabama State Registered Nurses License. Current CPR certification. ACLS certification preferred.
Experience:
Two (2) years of professional nursing in a cardiac setting.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care. Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions. Skill in writing and maintaining records and reports. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, families, physicians, employees, and staff. Ability to communicate clearly. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions in order to maintain a safe working environment. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Knowledge of the organization’s policies and procedures. Upholds effective work habits including, but not limited to, regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability and promptness. Skill in PPM & ICD Interrogations, test and programming; knowledge of EP procedures. Skill in decision making related to the programming of implanted devices. Skill in teaching patients about implanted devices and EP procedures.
