Job summary

Requires a bachelor’s degree in nursing, five years of clinical nursing experience, and SC RN licensure (or compact state).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing and at least five years' clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical experience and critical thinking skills required.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient electronic medical records to identify missing, vague, and/or incomplete diagnoses and collaborate with providers to ensure accurate documentation for DRG assignment, severity of illness, and risk of mortality.
• Facilitate documentation improvements and participate in ICCE meetings, QAPIs, and other educational opportunities across the system.
• Monitor and interpret quality metrics to support CDI program goals and outcomes.
