Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health seeks a Nursing Catheter Lab Manager to lead nursing staff in the catheter lab, plan and assess policies, and oversee budgets and resources.

The role involves governance participation, educational program development, and ensuring high quality patient care by promoting research-based practices and a collaborative leadership style. A RN license and ACLS/BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar nursing role.
• ACLS, RN license, BLS certifications required (BLS due within 30 days of hire).

The Nursing Catheter Lab Manager promotes a helpful work environment. Patients, families, and staff receive compassionate care. They plan, implement, and assess policies. Manage budgets and resources, oversee improvement, and organize educational programs. They also participate in governance councils to meet priorities. This role involves providing nursing care.

• Promote a therapeutic surrounding for patients, their families, and the nursing staff.
• Represent nursing staff in addressing the concerns of patients, families, and team members.
• Facilitate educational opportunities for patients and their families, nursing staff, and the community.
• Incorporate the organization's mission and goals into strategies for staff and patients.
• Passionately participate in governance and decision-making processes to enhance nursing procedures and workplace conditions.

Key Success Factors

• Have a broad knowledge of the standards and procedures for nursing and patient care.
• Be aware of healthcare laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in all forms, spoken or written.
• Have the ability to form helpful patient care strategies and modify them as needed to cater for diverse patient needs.
• Be able to make sensible recommendations regarding the distribution of resources to maintain quality and productivity standards.
• Have prior experience in handling operational management and guiding a team.
• Demonstrate sound judgment when assessing policies and establishing procedures.
• Be comfortable using general computer software, systems for healthcare management, and electronic documentation.

Qualifications

• Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of (3) three years of experience in a similar nursing role is required for consideration.
• Required certifications: (ACLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support, (RN) Registered Nurse license, (BLS) Basic Life Support. If not BLS certified, it must be completed within (30) thirty days of hire or transfer.
