Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an RN for Cath Lab, 14 weeks, day shift in Indiana. Requires 2+ years in cath lab and acute care, RN license, BLS/ACLS, and Epic experience. 1:1 patient ratios and STEMI readiness are expected. Candidates should be within 30 minutes of the facility and able to respond quickly in emergencies.

The role focuses on safe, family-centered care, leadership of licensed and non-licensed staff, and active participation in quality and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Two years of acute care RN experience.
  • Experience with left and right diagnostic and interventional heart caths, pacemaker/AICD implants and related procedures.
  • Experience in STEMI patient care and 1:1 patient ratio.
  • Experience with Epic charting.

Responsibilities

  • Assessments and reassessments per policy or patient condition.
  • Develop and implement the plan of care with patients, families and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Monitor and document responses to clinical interventions.
  • Educate patients and families; mentor staff; participate in quality and safety initiatives.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and contribute to ongoing governance efforts.

Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in cath lab nursing, acute care nursing experience

License: Registered Nurse

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Must-Have: Epic experience, ability to respond to STEMI calls, must be within 30 minutes of the facility

Description:A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients.The Registered Nurse focuses on safe, effective patient and family-centered care.The RN is responsible for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit.This role emphasizes personal development and education supported by a governance framework.The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members.The RN is responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care.This role focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction.The RN applies educational and professional experiences in delivering quality care.The RN also mentors and precepts staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessment: Performing assessments and reassessments per policy or as warranted by patient condition.
  • Developing and Implementing: Initiating, prioritizing, and implementing the plan of care while collaborating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services.
  • Evaluation: Monitoring and documenting responses to clinical interventions.
  • Education: Facilitating, coordinating, providing, and evaluating education specific to patient and family needs.
  • Leadership: Delegating tasks to personnel, functioning as a mentor/preceptor, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Participating in quality, safety, and service improvement efforts.
  • Complying with regulatory standards.

Required Skills and Experience include:

  • Two years of acute care RN experience.
  • Experience with left and right diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations, pacemaker and AICD implants, loop recorders, impellas, balloon pumps, TEEs, cardioversions, and tilt tables.
  • Experience in handling STEMI patients and peripheral IV access.
  • Patient ratio of 1:1.
  • Familiarity with equipment such as IV pumps, sheaths, Impellas, balloon pumps, IVUS, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and hemodynamic systems.
  • Experience with Epic charting.
