Job summary

Texas Health Huguley in Burleson, Texas seeks a PRN cardiovascular team member to support the cath lab and related services. The role focuses on equipment setup, sterile technique, and meticulous medical record documentation for interventional procedures.

Required BLS; ACLS preferred. RN or radiology technologist credentials may be needed depending on the specific position. This is an on-site PRN opportunity with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Associate degree is required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ year of Critical, Acute Care experience preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• RN or RT/RIS/RCIS/RCES licensure required depending on role.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and operates equipment and supplies for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring proper setup and sterilization.
• Produces accurate and timely medical records for each patient based on the scope and complexity of the intervention procedure and patient clinical conditions.
• Trains and supervises new personnel, providing orientation and ongoing education.
• Participates in quality and performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes.
• Ensures adherence to regulatory standards and enforces safety regulations.

Job Description:

PRN, as needed

Rate: $44.56/hour

• Maintains and operates equipment and supplies for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring proper setup and sterilization.


• Produces accurate and timely medical records for each patient based on the scope and complexity of the intervention procedure and patient clinical conditions.


• Trains and supervises new personnel, providing orientation and ongoing education.


• Participates in quality and performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes.


• Ensures adherence to regulatory standards and enforces safety regulations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation


• Knowledge of Cardiovascular anatomy


• Knowledge of vascular anatomy


• Knowledge of Hemodynamic Monitoring


• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals

Education:

• Associate [Required]


• Bachelor's [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ year of Critical, Acute Care experience (ER, ICU, IR, Cath Lab, Surgery) [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] AND


• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred] AND


• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required] OR


• Registered Technologist - Radiography (R.T.(R)(ARRT)) [Required] OR


• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) [Required] OR


• Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) [Required]
