Job summary

UW Health in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a brand-new 16-bed Hospitalist IMC unit. You'll provide high-acuity care for adults in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team and work under the nurse manager to create and shape a new space.

This role emphasizes leadership as a Care Team Leader, mentoring nurses, leading quality improvement initiatives, and aligning staffing with patient needs while advancing professional growth through tuition

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.
  • 2 years inpatient unit experience required.
  • 2 years combined leadership and work experience may substitute for inpatient time.
  • 3 years in acute care inpatient unit preferred.
  • Relevant RN experience with department-specific population preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Join UW Health’s first fully dedicated IMC unit and lead frontline care.
  • Mentor nurses, drive quality improvement, and track clinical metrics.
  • Collaborate with management on unit hiring and patient experience rounds.
  • Resolve complex clinical and operational challenges with multidisciplinary teams.
