Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Active RN license in the state where practicing; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care; engage patients and families across the continuum of care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols and procedures.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, conflict resolution, and delegation.
• Pursues professional development, completes required education, and maintains certifications.
• Adheres to the ANA Code of Ethics and supports ethical decision-making and unbiased patient care.
• Delegates appropriately to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area as needed.
• Provide age-appropriate care; apply growth and development knowledge across the life span.
