Job summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY. You will join an interdisciplinary team delivering comprehensive and compassionate patient care, with opportunities to engage in program development and evaluation to improve outcomes.

Active NY Nursing license required; Associates Degree in Nursing is required, BSN preferred. Onsite location with travel less than 25% and a pay range of $38.63 to $47.18 per hour.

Qualifications

• Active New York Nursing license; out-of-state nurses are eligible to apply.
• Associates Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; new hires may obtain during introductory period.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and families, prioritizing care based on needs and goals.
• Demonstrates competence in technical nursing skills and stays updated on policies and standards.
• Evaluates care effectiveness, documents clinically and communicates findings.
• Applies evidence-based practice and participates in shared governance.
• Mentors peers and acts as a resource for clinical practice and standards.
