Job summary

Riverside Health in Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. Under supervision, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate total nursing care for assigned patients, creating care plans based on physiological, psychosocial, and cultural factors.

You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive services, document per RHS standards, delegate non-professional staff, and support patient education and safe transitions through care settings.

Qualifications

• 1 year Staff Nurse (Preferred)
• Registered Nurse (RN) - State Department of Health Professions (Required)
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs by applying standards of practice as it relates to the specialty or patient population.
• Partners with patients and their family to develop, implement and evaluate a plan of care, treatments and procedures that contribute to physiological and psychosocial outcomes of the patient.
• Demonstrates sense of urgency to facilitate patient throughput to ensure patient receives consistent, competent and ethical care.
• Demonstrates understanding of diverse patient care populations. Modifies education method to ensure patient/family understanding. Assumes responsibility to coordinate and deliver individualized patient education and discharge specific education to family/caregivers.
• Accurately completes all required clinical and quality documentation consistently per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Delegates and prioritizes tasks appropriately to facilitate quality patient care and service excellence to meet the patient\'s care needs. Recognizes and responds to emergency situations.
