Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a registered nurse to provide patient care in accordance with licensure and educational standards. Candidates must meet the basic nursing education requirements and hold a current, active RN license in the United States.

Preferred experience includes a BSN, hematology/oncology exposure, and case management or care coordination skills to support comprehensive patient care services.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency is required for direct patient care positions.
• Must be a graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by accrediting agencies and meeting licensure requirements.
• Current, full, active, unrestricted RN license in a US state, territory, or DC; GNT exception may apply while pursuing licensure.

Responsibilities

• Nurse I, Level I delivers fundamental, knowledge-based care to assigned clients and develops skills.
• Nurse I, Level II demonstrates integration of biopsychosocial concepts with basic or complex care.
• Nurse I, Level III shows proactive planning and self-directed management of complex client situations.
• Nurse II or III responsibilities include leadership in delivering holisitic care and coordinating care.
