Job summary

Mercy seeks a registered nurse to apply the nursing process in providing patient care and coordinating with other departments. The role requires maintaining patient rights, confidentiality, and accountability for the care of assigned patients.

Candidates should have an accredited nursing degree, an active RN license (compact accepted), and 1+ year of preferred experience. ACLS/BLS certifications are required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• RN license maintained in hiring state or compact licensure.
• 1+ year nursing experience preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certifications (or course within 30 days).
• Capacity to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk long shifts, and perform physical tasks.

Position Details

Qualifications:Education : Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program

Experience

+1 year preferred

Licensure

Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Physical requirements/demands

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
• Other unit specific certifications as required or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
