Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a staff nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care across the patient lifecycle. The role emphasizes adherence to nursing processes, coordination of care among staff, and maintaining high standards of practice within hospital policies.

The position requires Georgia RN licensure (NLC/eNCL acceptable), BCLS, and unit-specific certifications such as ACLS/PALS. New graduates are eligible; prior hospital experience is preferred for some tracks.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• No experience required; new graduates eligible
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions required
• RN license in Georgia (or NLC/eNCL Multistate License) required
• BCLS certification required
• ACLS certification within 180 days for some tracks
• PALS/NRP/PEARS certifications may be required depending on unit
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification may be required for Infusion/Oncology track

Responsibilities

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Qualifications

Education

Work Experience

Licenses and Certifications
