Job summary

East Alabama Medical Center in Alabama seeks a Registered Nurse to provide safe, patient- and family-centered care in the Cardiac Observation unit. You will integrate knowledge and use guidelines to improve patient outcomes, including medication administration per nursing standards.

Call responsibilities may arise when cross-training in the Stress Lab (17530) is completed; BLS and ACLS prerequisites are required within stated timelines.

Qualifications

• 1 year clinical experience required.
• Registered Nursing License required.
• BLS within 90 days of hire or transfer.
• ACLS within 12 months of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient/family centered care in the Cardiac Observation unit.
• Administer medications according to standard nursing practice.
• Call will be required when cross-training in the Stress Lab (17530) is completed.

Incorporates differences into the provision of care. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum to include patient and family education. Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols, or pathways for care delivery. Incorporates data and information to continuously improve care and practice to enhance outcomes. Administers Medications according to standard nursing practice. Ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development. Call will be required when cross-training in the Stress Lab (17530) is completed.
